Informal Prayer Meeting

News from the Kirk Session:
·We hope to start a monthly prayer meeting one Monday per month in Inverasdale
·The minister hopes to start a “Vestry Hour” where people can come in individually to confidentially discuss issues, request prayer etc. Details will follow soon. Home visits will still happen and can be requested, but this way, people will know that they can come at any time
·We hope to start a course for Christians later in the year to train us how to be “disciple making disciples”
The Message: Two Lochs Radio broadcast a service from the Church of Scotland or the Free Church on Sunday evenings at 9pm @ 106.6 FM or at www.2lr.co.uk <http://www.2lr.co.uk>
Blythswood Highland Food Bank: There are collection boxes in each of the churches, also items for Blythswood can be left in the collection bin in the Manse car park any time. For now we have been asked to collect Packets of Rice, and Tins of Fruit, Salmon / Tuna & Ham.
Shipmates Soup and Pudding Lunch: Thank you everyone who cooked, baked, helped on the day or came to eat the soup and puddings and buy the baking at our recent fundraising lunch. We are delighted that £673 was raised on the day.
Fundraising Car Wash & Morning Coffee: From 10am to 12 noon on Saturday 26th February at the Aultbea Free Church Hall to raise funds for summer camps. £5 to wash your car and donations for the morning coffee.
Christianity Explored: This is hoped to start on Thursday 23rd February in Aultbea church hall. There will be a meal at 6pm followed by the course at 6.30pm. A crèche will be available in the manse. If you are able to help with either a main course or a pudding or help with crèche, please fill in the sheet at the door or let Susan know. It would be helpful for catering purposes if you could also sign the sign up sheet if you hope to come to the course.
